I typically avoid the message board on Tuesdays - for obvious reasons - but jeez, I couldn't help myself today. Not sure if people post just to be wise-asses, or if they think they're being funny... or if they're just plain ******. Either way, the bar's been raised this week. As some have wisely pointed out since the early posts - the piece included my memories of fights of significance where the favorite was ahead and got dusted by one big shot. You want to think I'm a terrible writer, fine... everyone's entitled to an opinion. You want to have different memories, that's OK, too. But to claim I didn't mention Prescott because he's not American, or that I incorrectly wrote that Foreman KO'd Moorer with a left hook, or that Hearns-Barkley was somehow a unification fight... or whatever that moron said... for ****'s sake, guys, at least read the stuff before you spout off. You're making it way too easy for me to feel smart.

Contrary to HBO's untrue assessment that Garcia was taking a beating before the stoppage, in reality the fight was close to even. Khan won the first, the second could've gone either way and Garcia was winning the third before dropping Khan with that left hook.

while I agree fitzsimmons is a trash writer, no one, and i mean NO ONE, is on par with ronnie nathanielsz. i would wager that he is THE worst sports writer in history. this of course does not include douche malinowski, who has his own tier of scum...
