Regardless of outcome, Gomez vs Porter should be a solid action fight, though I'm taking Gomez by late stoppage. It's a big step-up in class for Porter, he's not used to facing much resistance at all to this point in his career, and Gomez is definitely going to be throwing a lot his way for as long as it goes with solid skills to boot. Porter looks like a pretty decent athlete that is physically strong with ok skills, but I think it'll be too much, too soon for him. Either way, the fight should be good.

Love reading all the pro-Gomez comments saying that Porter doesn't have it. While I agree this is a step up, Porter is faster, stronger, younger and has better foot work than Gomez. Just ask Pacman, Benavidez, and the rest of the guys he's been in the ring with. Porter is no joke. His power and hand speed will be to much for the slower Gomez.

Sadly, this fight has head butts written all over it as Gomez stance has him leaning forward a lot and stay low where as Porter in an in and out fighter who is also known fight inside.

Nevertheless it will be a good fight to watch however I think Gomez will be eating a lot of punches in a short period of time. Porter in 6.
