Depends on the combatants. I know that Roy is a smart fella who avoids street fights. Seeing how quick he is Mr. 'Rassler better take him down quick or take a count. Roy could outleg him if needed.

Jack Dempsey was a pudgy 46 yrs old when hounded and baited by a heavyweight 'rassler named Cowboy Luttrell. Dempsey was more than a boxer, he was a fighter and a gentleman, and later wrote a primer for self defense that is still used today by many martial arts schools. Luttrell 'rassled back in the day when the sport was legit and was at least 10-15 yrs younger. Dempsey finally had his fill, scheduled the match, and beat the crap out of him and KOed him in 2. Cowboy had to be taken to the hospital all busted up.

It's a moot point. You oughta make your sig a mute point before you meet your Dempsey.
Well sorry about your feelings, but that's me and I'm not changing. I've never been one to back down from what I believe. If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything. I put that up because there has been a lot of people who won't trade conversation with me, but rather put down what I say so it's a quick reply without posting something back everytime. And you're probably right I probably will meet someone who might show me a thing or too about being too proud, but I never start anything I just back myself up and don't take any flack. But I won't feel bad about taken a whippin', because I didn't back down.

it would come down to who has more skill in thier respected field of study and which one is more comfortable fighting a different style of self defense.

there are several martial arts that neatly combine takedowns with punching. this would include sweeps, locks, and stand-up grappling as well, which would make it much more difficult to take down these particular fighters than say a pure boxer.

most ufc/pride type of guys though, try to add two very different arts such as bjj and thai boxing. those types can be caught on the "in-betweens" a little easier unless they are able to incorporate the 2 completely different arts smoothly.

all said and done, it comes down to which fighter is more professional(skillfull) at applying thier trade in a real fight.

** So what do you stand for other than displaying the kissing cousin to the **** Iron Eagle under your BS name and having sexual obsessions with strangers on the internet in your sig. Could be that's the reason nobody wants to talk to you. Of course there's plenty of kiddies with similar issues on this board, so maybe they'll come a callin'.

It all depends on how good of a wrestler you are i mean if your terrible at it and u go in to shoot for the leg and it takes u like 20 seconds to get it your obviously gunna get clocked a good deal.
Not to brag or anythin but this is why at school i dont get picked on cause durin the fall n winter i wrestle and during the spring and summer i box.

It's too tough to call, but Balrog use to be better than Zangief, but nowadays Zangief is the truth...so maybe a wrestler would win ..

But RJJ could use his elbows and his head. (Maybe Hopkins should be involved here)

So who would win a fight between one of those Luchador wrestlers and Marvin Hagler?
