He already plans to retire by 28.

Enough time to get KTFO a couple of more times, assuming he stays with Roach.

His comments are wholly self-serving, and I say that as a Froch fan.
I give Froch credit for supporting Haye all the way into the 12th round with Wlad even though Haye had stunk up the joint. That gesture alone makes Froch a good guy in my book.

Froch is now the undisputed #1 fighter in the UK and has a title so he can say what he wants.

Carl Froch fought his way up the correct way by winning a Lonsdale belt out-right + the Commonwealth title & would have won the European championship had the EBU not snubbed him, & never went the intercontinental alphabet direction, which is more then the likes of Joe Calzaghe, Amir Khan, Nathan Cleverly & Ricky Hatton ever did. Let's hope the likes of George Groves, Scott Quigg & David Price will follow suit!

          I respect Froch's opinion, but he's a bit of a hypocrite.

Well Froch said he would retire if he had been beaten, knocked out and outclassed. Well Froch, 2 out of the 3 have happened to you already lol. You have been beaten twice and outclassed by Ward. All that's left is the knockout that is waiting on you someday lol. Luckily you have a great chin which is the only reason you are still around I might add. If Froch did not have an iron chin, he would have been KOed several times already probably. I am no Khan fan trust me, but he is infinitely more skilled than Froch is to be honest.

Froch is a way better fighter than Khan AND has fought way better opposition without getting KO'd in 90 seconds and again in the 4th round in a fight he was clearly considered the favorite in. Froch is more durable and tougher than Khan will ever be.

Froch has always been very critical of Khan so I'm not surprised to see him come out with something like this. He should be offering him support rather than saying he should consider retirement.

Khan is only 25 and is still relatively unpolished so the potential is still there, he just needs to work on it. I don't know where he goes from here but a move from Roach looks unlikely and I think that would be the best thing for him.

There is something not quite right about Khan and I cannot figure out what it is. Is he really that arrogant? Does he just not listen? Have they even been working on his flaws which Peterson exposed?

As he is now, he'll be fighting the best guys in his division and will come away with more losses than wins. Stepping up to 147 at this moment in time would only shorten his career.

But seriously, khan will still win big fights and belts and if last night is anything to go by, he will get ko'ed once in a while when he gets too big for his boots. But at least we know the ko's only happen once in a while and inbetween he has some nice belts and wins under his belt.
this is true. calzaghe fed many a journeyman's family. he really is a hero.

I really hope the context of what Froch was saying is that if he took the KO loss at HIS AGE then he'd retire if he were Khan.

Otherwise, it's a KO loss... it happens in boxing. Khan has had it happen before and came back just the same.
