A few things: Escobedo is a very solid fighter who's something of a veteran, been around for a while and he should no doubt be Broner's toughest test to date. As someone else said if anybody thinks Broners just gonna sweep the floor with Chente the way he did Eloy, yall are in for a surprise. This will look like the De Leon fight I reckon.
On a sidenote: I think the reason Broner is 'hated' isn't because he's skilled but rather because he's just another big mouthed, egotistical fighter who not only hasn't even accomplished anything yet, aside from some hilarious music videos if you can call those accomplishments, but also he really isn't even that good. It's also pretty disrespectful both to your opponent and to the sport to actually come out to the ring rapping. Imagine if Pacquiao were to come out to the ring singing one of his songs
And Panginoon, I highly doubt you actually care if anyone says anything racist towards Mexicans, just stop. Broner isn't racist he's just not very bright...Comment

I agree that he is not very smart, and I do care that he said racist things. I don't like racist boxers because this isn't a sport where racism should exist. Boxing caters to everyone not only in the US but in other countries, people of all race and religion participate in boxing and yet some fighters still choose to be racist.
You can say Broner is an ignorant idiot but why won't they acknowledge that what he said was racist?
Imagine if a White fighter said something like "He can't fight for shit, after all he is a Black guy".Comment

if you really want to check out Escobedo here is one of the better fights of his career, and one of my all time favorites from Solo Boxeo:
Escobedo was actually down on points (on my card at least, and officials I believe) and he came back in style to earn the W by way of KO.
Does he have it in him to pull this off against Broner? Probably not, but we shall see.Comment

Broner not racist? Where have you guys been? I remember the posts TS mentioned.
TS didn't need to point this out. It's been pretty well known since the De Leon fight. I think everyone wants to find the next American Black fighter so badly, that they're willing to overlook it.
If Manny hyped up the fight with Mosley by saying, "I'm going to knock the fried chicken off his mouth", would that be okay with everybody here?Comment
