Why should Khan's first 147lb fight be for a title? He hasn't done **** at that weight and is coming off of 2 losses. Have him fight a contender like Brook/Vargas/Zaveck/M. Jones first.

Promoters Looking For A Payday; Khan Handle 140! How Does 147 Make Sense!

Go ruin what's left of Khans career by getting him fights at 147, is blatant promoters trying to create their own paycheck. Khan has not beaten the top fighters at 140. He had controversial wins over Maidana & Erik Morales, most felt he lost both to. He beat a scared Zab Judah who wouldn't fight. He got drummed by Lamont Peterson, and got train wrecked by Garcia. Now you want to pit him with some of the best fighters at 147 (minus tomatoe can Malignaggi who's nothing), and the likes of Alexander and Guerrero who walk in to the ring fight night weighing close to a hydrated 155-160lbs, will end Khan's career. Look what happened when they moved up a very hungry, heavy hitter/killer like Marcos Maidana, who found out that no better than Alexander really is, he's still too big for a Maidana. They too will ruin Maidana's career if they are dead set on a fighter with Canello. This is all about promoters finding ****** management teams willing to make the wrong, I'll-advised fights, so these promoters can create their own selfish payday. That's just malpractice!

I just hope Amir Khan can find someone on his Level. Khan is becoming a stepping stone now, the same way they were doing Victor Ortiz. I think Golden Boy will now stop protecting Khan from decent punchers and match Khan up with young up and comers. Might be the best thing to ever happen to Amir Khan as he will get opportunities to win back his fans.... but will his fragile chin be up to the Challenge. I think a Victor Ortiz vs Amir Khan showdown would be a nice move, since Khan is moving to 147, and this matchup could get one of Golden Boys Top Names back in the runnings for a Title Fight, even though i think neither deserve it. Ortiz has no heart and Khan has no chin. Ortiz would knock Khan out in 8 Rounds anyway, but i still would like to see that fight.

No Garcia rematch Khan needs to move up to 147 and fight either Brook or Ortiz

You have a lot of false statements i dont even know where to begin. First, he never fought erik morales so no contraversial win there. next the win against maidana was legit and i dont remember many people having a problem with the decision. Kahn out boxed him untill the last 3 rounds. and last you said guerrero walks in the ring at 155-160. that's pretty impressive since hes coming up from 135lbs, and kahn is probably the bigger guy. Try not to be so inaccurate or wrong next time you speak.

Khan vs Ortiz or Paulie only fights I could see them trying to make.

Probably going to be a Paulie rematch though. Winnable fight and a title fight.

Well Richard has the pickens right, If Khan does make the move to 147, he better be matched up against the smaller welterweights, unless Khan doesn't feel as strong or can no longer make the weight I think he should just stay at 140 tbh and work on his defense starting with a new trainer.. Khan only weighed 148 last night, that's no welterweight! Not even close, does he think because floyd can fight at any weight that he can? well he can't.. imo if he does decide to move up, the best comeback fight for khan should be Kell Brook in the UK Nov or Dec, winner takes all as far as US exposure!
