I remembered that saying from Martinez/Williams 2 as well, what Steward does is nutthugging for the very last time, he knows that his job was to hold his nuts tight but since they fell off his grasp with the brutal knock out he just squeeze them for the very last time on HBO's air time.

    Thats bias at its finest.

People are actually calling this a lucky punch? Give me a BREAK man. Do you people even watch boxing outside of your favorite fighters?

That was a beautiful, perfectly timed counter left. I don't know how any boxing fan cannot appreciate that shot.

People should look at your sig before saying that, that moment is counter-punching at its finest.

Right! As if Khan is hard to time or something.

Khan should just move up. Garcia should take on Lucas Matthysse, both with GBP.

A beautifully timed counter left that he threw off balance with his head down and that landed on his opponents neck? BULLSH.T!!! Garcia was throwing wildly, like he did the entire fight, and got lucky and landed one. After looking at the replay, I realized that the second and third knockdown's were legit, quality punches. Maybe Garcia's father taught him to hold him head down and throw wild left hooks. However, any trainer who is worth a damn would not tell his fighter to do that because he knows it would get the fighter ko'd by a blind punch.

I give Garcia all the credit for winning a fight in which it looked like he was going to get knocked out. I am also not surprised because Khan has never been an A-class fighter in my opinion. However, I call them like I see them and that was a lucky punch if ever I saw one

Were I Danny, I would get rid of my dad from Team garcia real quicklike... You mark my words in the next fight or two Danny is gonna suffer a brutal "Hattonlike KO" in early rounds watch and see. Team Garcia is gonna talk smack to the wrong dude and he's gonna be retired like Ricky. If he don't get his head blown up like a hot-air balloon by his gay-a$$ dad and keeps his mind on boxing in a mayweatherish way then he may have the potential to be great. I stand firm on my thoughts he's ready for Marquez or Pacquiao or Bradley right now!!! Khan prior to this fight was close in line to fight the P4P floyd and Bradley chickened out to fight him so I say if Danny can beat any one of the aforementinoed opponents then move over Canelo this young gun would be the newest Icon in the sport! Real Talk!

Call me naive/crazy/whatever, but im not so sure about coining that as a 'counterpunch'. A hard punch in the middle of an exchange no doubt, but it seemed more of a squeeze tight and let her rip type punch, not a countering anything specific punch. He wasnt even looking lol, just throwing, and it happened to land....hard

Edit: id like to see a rematch, but only after khan changes trainers and tightens up his defense at the very least.

1st off, it was a close fight, not a controversial decision. Most people actually thought Khan won that fight. Controversial decisions are when the wrong guy gets the decision - thats not what happened in that fight.
Plus, Ivan, if the biggest "duck" you can name is someon that Khan actually fought, then you're proving my point for me - the guy fought everyone at 140 and the only main guy he missed, Bradley, was bc bradley wouldnt take the fight

It required timing/anticipation/proper distance for that punch to land. Garcia knew when Khan was gonna throw, waited til he committed, tucks his chin, partially parries Khan's left hook and then launches his own left hook with as much leverage as he could get WHILE Khan is throwing a right uppercut. Khan was incapable of seeing the punch coming cuz he was throwing his own right at the same time. It's not a "make him miss, make him pay" counter-punch, but Garcia tried to parry the first punch and, knowing Khan doesn't throw one punch at a time, threw his left hook cuz he anticipated the right uppercut.
