Ortiz and Khan lose to replacements

Both these guys lost and got KOed by the replacements to there original fights. Did the fact that they were replacements contribute to the losses or were they just beaten by the better man? I kind of think a little bit of both. They were both over confident and paid for it. I guess when they say you should never look ahead or underestimate an opponent, these 2 might want to listen.

How could being replacements have effected it? You could make a case for Ortiz for it being a week or 2 prior... but Khan had a lot of time to prepare.

I am looking at it from a mental aspect. When you don't get what you want or expect you get disappointed sometimes. I am not sure if it did affect them but going from fighting a name guy to a no-name guy can make it a less mentally attractive fight for the fighter. They could over look the guy or just not get up for it.

It just means that they aren't as good as people think they were. They were pushed because they are very marketable. The reality of it is all the guys in 140-147 are on the same level & will continue beating up on each other. Only Pac & Mayweather are levels above the rest.
