I've got a feeling that this flick is going to be better then we once thought.

Or that might just be wishful thinking.....

              stallone's workout for Rocky 6

Anyone who saw Rambo: First Blood or Rambo: First Blood II noticed the staggering change Stallone's physique underwent between the two movies. The truth is, Sly only started working out for Rambo II six weeks before shooting. He hired two-time Olympia champion Franco Columbu to help him chisel a rock-hard body, and this is the routine he followed:

              Monday/Wednesday/Friday
              Morning
              Chest
              Back
              Abs

              Afternoon
              Shoulders
              Arms
              Abs

              Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday
              Morning
              Calves
              Thighs

              Afternoon
              Rear Delts
              Traps
              Abs

The routine was an intensive six-day a week double split; the kind professional bodybuilders use when competing. The cycle followed a standard 8-12 reps/3-4 sets pattern. He did 3 to 4 exercises per body part. Each day Sly varied the exercises using instinctive training, so there's no point in indicating which exercises he used per body part -- he simply pushed himself to the extreme, adding extra sets and reps whenever he could.

His ab routine consisted of 1000 reps total. He trained four different ab/torso parts with sit-ups, leg raises, side leg raises and side bends -- 50 reps each for 5 sets. Once Columbu was through with Stallone, Sly had learned all the essentials of bodybuilding, which he carried over to subsequent movies and ultimately made him the machine that he is today.

Workout early in the morning, or late at night. Thats how I balance social life, school, work/boxing/lifting.

Also, don't just think ole Sly is natural.....

actually four months ago a radio host in seattle accused him of using roids. So out of the clear blue sky he showed up about a week later since he was filming a low budget documentary in washington. He said he was tired of the accusations, so he said he would take a test. When he did it was determined that he had alcohol, Vicodin, and traces of Opium. But it was expected that the opium would be there seeing as how Poppy seed muffins are the one thing that he demands on set when he films. And poppy seeds contain opium. Alcohol from the function he attended the night before, and the vicodin was perscribed by a doctor for his chronic back pain. But nothing of the sort like steroids showed up at all.
