WBC doing the right thing: orders Jermain-Winky

Jose Sulaiman, president of the WBCserved notice today to the camps of middleweight champion Jerman Taylor and mandatory challenger Winky Wright that the free negotiations period has begun for the mandatory title defense between our champion Jermain Taylor vs. mandatory challenger Ronald "Winky" Wright, as ordered during the WBC annual convention in Spain during October. If no agreement is reached, the WBC will order a purse offer to be held on January 20, 2006, in Mexico City. "I am extremely pleased with the WBC's decision to proceed with the mandatory title defense and I look forward to meeting Jermain head-on in the ring in my next fight," said Wright. "Everyone knows that after every fight, I have always asked for another big fight. No breathers for me. I only want the biggest fights against the best fighters because I am a competitor and I believe a champion should act like a champion. Now we are going to see who the best middleweight really is -- Jermain Taylor or me."

This works, I was hoping for Strum in the next fight.

I guess Strum will get his chance after Taylor handles Wright.

Does this mean that Taylor can't go fight in Arkansas in April and then fight Winky in August?

      Cause if so, that sucks.

=========Jose Sulaiman, president of the WBCserved notice today===========

**Yawn, who cares? Big Whooop. Taylor is gonna fight who Dibella lines up in Arkansas. Then he MIGHT consider fighting Winky in a stinker fight IF he doesn't get any big money offers. Jose can pull another belt from out of his fleabitten buttocks and give it to Winky if it relieves him of his intestinal pressure.

Thats kind of ****ty, **** the WBC. Unless Winky will fight in Arkansas that blow honestly. He deserves to fight in front of his fans....aka the whole state of Arkansas. Oh well, I hope he beats down Winky then fights Sturm or Abraham in Arkansas : /
