Comments Thread For: Mike Tyson Discusses Boxing's State, And The Future

"Iron" Mike Tyson is convinced the US government will become increasingly involved in legislating sports, and he’s sure that the hard knocks of boxing, are inextricably linked to the rough and tumble of cut throat politics, and he speaks from personal experience when he states that you can’t put an old head on young shoulders.

I remember when everyone hated this guy. Yet now he is well respected. History will repeat itself.

Much respect to Tyson! He got me interested in the sport of boxing way back in the mid 90's!

I always thought mike would end up dead before he turned 40. I am so glad he turned his life around. I was one of his biggest fans back in the day. Glad to say i am now proud of mike.

Why not? The US government is becoming increasingly involved in legislating everything else...

Hell, they might actually do some good. Boxing is one of the few things that are so badly organized and administered that being taken over and run by the govt would be an improvement.

I think, the only Cat, that would have really dealt with Mike, was FOREMAN....
