    43-year-old former world champion Glen Johnson (51-17-2, 35 KOs) is ready to call it a career. The longtime veteran who holds wins over Roy Jones Jr. and Antonio Tarver, lost a clear ten round unanimous decision to “Polish Prince” Andrzej Fonfara (22-2, 12 KOs) at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago. The scores were 97-93, 99-91 and 97-93. Afterwards, Johnson said the ESPN televised loss was his final appearance in the ring as a fighter.

        As heartbreaking as it is to see a guy like Glen Johnson decide enough is enough, it's refreshing to see a boxer know when the time has come. There are a few out there - I won't name names - that really should take a page out of the Road Warrior's book here.

        Imagine the last time we were able to bring up the top 10s for the 168-175lb divisions without mentioning Glen Johnson's name in the mix... it's been a hell of a long time.

          When he goes into the boxing hall of fame i plan on attending,how many years does he have to wait does anyone know.

                Imagine what his record would look like if he hadnt had all those bs decisions go against him early,but i am glad to hear he is hanging them up he still has his mind intact and a lot of life left to live.
