Maidana didn't look right at 147. He had some fat hanging over on the sides which isn't a good sign when moving up. What seemed impossible showed up in the Alexander fight, he seemed slower and more lethargic than usual minus the power that he normally throws with. At 147 he's a slow plodder with not as much pop, at 140 he has the power to stay in any fight.

why not have Josesito Lopez vs Maidana instead at 140. honestly Maidana shouldn't fight at 147 but if GBP wants to whore him out as a name so be it. I'm not sure what Maidana's contract is with GBP and universum but I think it's time to leave.

the way things are going with Canelo maybe he'll get a shot at the "champ" after Canelo destroyes Lopez.
