he is a very good prospect, but he don't have fights
What hapen with Korobov???

he had four fights in 2011
one of his main issues in getting the proper attention and investment of time and money a prospect requires is his age. he's almost 30. by the time you've got him ready for the big time he'll already be slowing down. -
he need to fight against good fighters or more fights like 6 or 7 on a yearComment

when i saw hiim with a step up from the total cans he was annihilating he looked a bit off
not sure what was up, but he looked like he was thinking too much.
i'd love to see what he can do against a top flight gatekeeper.
i'd guess that they'll see if the kid can swim in a big fight withtin the next year or so. i dont know if they're going to move him like a prospect for much longer. he's got so few rounds and he's 29.
a shame, because he looked to have good instincts. he punches at the right time and the right distance. he used to knock guys flat in the damn amateursComment

Definitely time for Korobov to step it up & take a charge at the top.
He's got all the tools, & seems to have the class, what we need to see now is some hunger...
Darren Barker or Osumanu Adama would be a good acid test for Korobov - hungry guys with skills & something to prove. If Korobov tops them, we'll see if he's serious or just cruising off of his skills...Comment

Funny, but I was wondering why Matt Korobov hasn't been fighting earlier today. He has been inactive since November of last year. Usually when prospects are inactive it's do to things like injuries or a change in management/promoters, but I haven't heard anything.
Whatever it is he should get busy, he turns 30 in Janurary.Comment

I half agree. He didn't turn pro until quite late & fighters nowadays go on later due to better nutrition, vitamins plus less fights etc.
But he does need to fight soon & step up. A fight between him & Andy Lee would sell out any arena in NYC.Comment
