Comments Thread For: Sulaiman Gives Arce No Shot To Defeat Donaire

Although he concedes that Jorge “Travieso” Arce, the No.1 ranked WBO super bantamweight is a true Mexican warrior in the ring, World Boxing Council president Don Jose Sulaiman believes Arce has no chance to beat Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire in their planned October title fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Who in the right mind would? All Donaire fans care about is "it's gonna be an exciting fight." Can't blame them after all. Their idol has been depriving them from some real action and has been boo'ed 3-4 fights in a row.

Arce has absolutely no chance in this one. Shame on TR/Nonito for wasting our time with this nonsense.

We all know Arce has no chance of beating Donaire whilst both Nishioka and Rigondeaux very much do. That's why this fight is getting made and those two aren't.

            It's sad but that's boxing.

What keeps Nishioka and Rigo from fighting themselves or others? Does the Sun rise and set on what Donaire does????? He controls everything????? No one is allowed to fight anyone else?????

Mendoza, Varcacel and Peoples usually dont talk about boxers. But Salaiman is always talking about them. Showing lots of bias also. He needs to retire. His job is to try maintaining integrity in a system but he is like a promoter, selling and ruining boxing.

Tell me Mr. Sulaiman, what chance do you give the 140 pound Lopez against the 154 pound Alvarez (that your organization is sanctioning)?
