This is what I & many others have been saying, but fanboys have nothing but excuses & insults....

Rigondeaux said a couple of days ago:

“ 'The Filipino Phony' will be paid a king's ransom to fight me, but he's scared enough to move up to 126 just to avoid fighting me. The problem he faces, though, is I will also move up to featherweight once I've cleaned out the super bantamweight division. What's he going to do then, move up to super featherweight? ”

Obviously majority of the people who posted here arent a fan of boxing for a long time.

Why the **** you're all upset about this fight (if it ever happens)? this thing happen all the time.

Arce is a named fighter that guarantees an excellent fight.

Donairre is not 22yrs old. Obviously people that goes to boxing forums would prefer fighters with great potetional despite having 10 fights?

but how many are we? 7 out of 10 people that would pay tickets would prefer Arce over somebody else. the other 3 being what we call hardcore boxing fans.

Because repeating crap match ups does not help the sport.

Yes. But how does it support Donaire's goal of "unifying" the division? Do you not see the hypocrisy? I'm all for exciting fights. And for Donaire to make as much money per fight. But don't give us crap about cleaning out the division by choosing the least dangerous, non-belt holder of FOUR viable opponents.

so what if he fights Arce, the fight is marketable enough and who the hell is Rigo, he should wait and not call out names and wetdreaming like he's the **** out there. he can't even fill his own garage. ****heads

[QUOTE=miron_lang;12329627]Arce is a named fighter that guarantees an excellent fight.QUOTE]fight news dot com also has Arce rated higher than Rigo which is no surprise at all considering accomplishements and what Arce has done the last 2 years to bring a surge to his career.

Thats not Donaire's only goal. He is fighting the number 2 guy in the division ahead of Rigo. I don't care if he moves up, down, sideways....where I would have a problem is if he fights a low-level contender. Champs and top contenders only. Meanwhile Rigo needs to get a life outside of Donaire and quit riding on Donaire's coattails.

arce does not look anything like a threat at this point in his career.
his ranking notwithstanding, does he have anything else to offer?
donaire prolly runs off with that scalp and a bag of cash in his hands.
for the love of the fans,i hope he does fight rigo or nishioka afterwards.

                    • plus i think most of the backlash stems from the fact that these words came straight out of the horse's mouth. other boxer's have subtler ways of saying, ok I want none of this guy. not that I'm saying he's ducking anyone, but c'mon. this is akin to a high school toughie wannabee wanting to look like a badass by picking a fight with some elementary kid.
