IMO, the more deserving fighter of both MMA & Boxing has to be either Andre Ward or Jon Jones.

they were basing that off of 2011 performances.... so for floyd to get the nod for a weird controversial win over ortiz that left ALOT of people bitter is a bit suspect. i would NO DOUBT consider his performance with cotto for next year though. espy for floyd 2013.

but award was for "best fighter".... i just cant see floyd matching jon jones or andre ward in the year of 2011.

That Ortiz fight had an amazing ending bro...Everyone was excited as hell to see that shocker, and Floyd finally showed that killer instincts...but the replay showed the ref not looking away and it made it seem like it was dirty...if the ref was looking, people wouldnt even care...they would be like, "Dayumn, that was raw"..and its my favorite Floyd KO

I don't get why people say Ward, he fought once since the last ESPY's.

He fought in December and while he beat a very good opponent it is not like it was a real memorable fight and it was several months before voting started.

Floyd fought twice since the last ESPY's and both fights were memorable plus one was very fresh in peoples minds.

There was NO WAY Ward could win like that, it was impossible.
