Comments Thread For: Adamek, Solis Agree To Tourney: Wait on Pulev, Ustinov

Tomasz Adamek’s co-promoter emphasized Wednesday that the popular Polish contender wants to participate in the IBF’s proposed four-man elimination tournament to determine the sanctioning organization’s new mandatory challenger for Wladimir Klitschko.

The IBF intends to match Adamek (46-2, 28 KOs) against Russian Alexander Ustinov (27-0, 21 KOs) and Cuban Odlanier Solis (18-1, 12 KOs) against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev (16-0, 8 KOs). The winners would meet for the right to become the IBF’s No. 1 heavyweight contender for Klitschko (58-3, 51 KOs).

Povetkin is content to milk his phony title

Didn't Adamek just say he wasn't interested? This is better anyway.

I'd love to see Povetkin rematch Huck and get ktfo.

            Would be sweet.

If Adamek wins, I predict little brother will dish out a beating ass savage as big bro.

If Solis wins, I sure hope his legs can support his weight. I hope no one gives him an advance to buy food with.

And the other russkies. Maybe those guys will step up and take it to Wlad.

Someone needs to at least go down firing bullets against him.

Who cares. He read BoxingScene and the criticism and he's down now.

lol! only yesterday they were saying he wasn't participating in it. WTF? inept reporting or writers making up stuff? i was disappointed in adamek yesterday thinking he was going to cash out fighting lesser opposition in NJ but today he is willing to get in there with some solid contenders so i change my tune. good job solis & adamek for commiting to this 4 man tourney. let's hope the other 2 join as well.

Much respect to these guys if they actually participate in the tournament.
