What matters to YOU? Skill or excitement

For me, I watch boxing for entertainment more than anything, I'm not all that bothered who is p4p number one and I'd rather watch micky ward than Andre bored any day of the week

I appreciate the talent, but a lot of these elite skilled guys suck the fun out of their fights.

I don't mean to sound cliche but I enjoy all aspects of boxing. I can enjoy watching Andre Ward and Micky Ward.

I watch sports to watch excellence in that field, excitement is alright but true excellence is a sight to behold.

Excitement when they are young and up and coming and hungry and trying to make a name for themselves....but during their PRIME YEARS AS A FIGHTER...SKILLS!

It also depend on the type of fans as well as the age range, I think when your young and dumb you don't understand nor do you care about, Jab, Head Movement, Footwork or none of the Fundementals, but as you get older you grow to truly appreciate and respect the Skilled Fighters who you may have thought was Boring when you was younger but then you go back and watch them years later you then realize how great that fighter was

                excitement
we watch the goddamn fights to be entertained
doesn't matter what the styles are long as they mesh excitingly
skilled guys can be exciting to watch in their own right
some tactical fights are great, some brawls are marred by sloppiness
but brawls are almost always funner to watch than chess matches
