I love how everyone here is already saying that Pacman will TKO Morales easily. This is Morales...not a one hit wonder. And of course I know I will hear the excuses "Pac wasn't in the right state of mind, he wasn't using the right gloves". Well what about the time Pacman fought Barrera? Barrera was forced to leave training camp and fight somewhere else because of a fire. But of course if he had the Reyes he would of knocked iron-chinned Morales out! Barrera's style is all wrong for Pacquaio but I would put my money on Barrera if they ever fought again, which I think they will.
Manny to KO Morales by a 67% HBO vote! Wtf?

not only can pac ko lord chickengay morales, he has bigger cojonesOriginally posted by ELPacmanOk, I for one, as much as I love Manny, would not pick him to KO Morales at all. He's lucky to get a decision. Now of course you can't see how many people voted at the HBO website, though let's assume it's a lot. What are these people, ******? They truely base things off last performance. Manny KOed an unknown, Morales gets beat by a slick boxer in a style Manny would never have in a million years, and now they assume Manny's gonna KO Morales, completely forgetting what happened in the first fight? To me, it's all about the size difference(not that you perverts!
), and Manny will never be able to compete against Morale's size at 130lbs.
id be surprised to see erik coming forward for more than 4rdsComment

chickengays always refer back to the training camp crap.Originally posted by SoliloquyI love how everyone here is already saying that Pacman will TKO Morales easily. pac lost to morales, then rematches him soon after
barrera loses to pac, then avoids any talk of rematch
verdict: barrera is a chickengayComment

I agree having to move your training location somewhere else because of something major like the fire in SoCal is critical because it throws off one's rhythm and also the fact that Barrera's story was outed about having a metal plate in his head had to mess with his mental state. I think it definitely played a part, but I also think that Pac has already gotten into his head, so I see another Pac victory, it's Pac's fight to win 'cause it's easy to underestimate an opponent you've already destroyed.Originally posted by SoliloquyI love how everyone here is already saying that Pacman will TKO Morales easily. I see why people are voting that way, I had several friends who were at the fight who were seated very close to the action they all thought Morales won decisively, but they all say that Pac's punches had more impact and effect on Morales. One thing that I didn't notice in the first fight was the effect the body punching that Pac was doing in the 1st and 2nd round. My buddies were pointing out that it had Morales hurt but Pac just never went back to it. So I think he needs to focus and stay disciplined in the body attack.Originally posted by ELPacmanOk, I for one, as much as I love Manny, would not pick him to KO Morales at all. in the first fight, pacquiao looked really tired after about 4 rounds. he usually has stamina for 12 rounds throwing non stop punches. pacman needs to also work the body a lot more this time round, he was doin so well in the first 2 rounds attackin morales' body. this fight is too close to call. if pacman wins i think it will be on points, no one has ever KO'D morales in his whole career and i cant see that happening anytime soon, unless he fights someone like corrales or castillo at 135lbs.Comment

That's true about Pac's stamina, and I actually wasn't surprise I was sorta expecting it from Pac. It was by far the biggest most hyped fight Pac has been involved in. Having boxed in the amateurs alongside other fighters and having known pro-fighters, when one is involved in a big event that in itself takes alot of energy from a person. It's just like a football team who is getting its first crack at the Super Bowl compared to a team thats experienced it before. The jitters shouldn't be as harsh for Pac this time around.Originally posted by amaruin the first fight, pacquiao looked really tired after about 4 rounds. he usually has stamina for 12 rounds throwing non stop punches. pacman needs to also work the body a lot more this time round, he was doin so well in the first 2 rounds attackin morales' body. this fight is too close to call. if pacman wins i think it will be on points, no one has ever KO'D morales in his whole career and i cant see that happening anytime soon, unless he fights someone like corrales or castillo at 135lbs.
Morales also appeared gassed early than he usually does, kinda surprised me 'cause he looked fresher taking an @ss beating from Barrera than having an easier time w/ Pac.Last edited by rsl; 12-18-2005, 01:51 PM.Comment

That's cause he didn't do anything for those early rounds, thus, he starting winning the 2nd half of the fight in many peoples eyes. Vs Manny, Morales just has to counter punch his way to victory. He doesn't need to move around as much as Manny does since he's the bigger man with the better jab. He can just keep jabbing Manny away all night if Manny doesnt' move. Thus, Manny is the one that requires the stamina when he fights Morales, he needs it to keep moving and keep punching. He did this pretty well vs Velasquez, though you could see, he was dead tired by the 6th rd. He summoned energy outta his reserve tanks to do that final fury on Hector that put him away. Lucky Hector didn't want anymore cause Manny was huffin and puffin as he walked away so the ref could do the count.Comment

Man you make it sound so easy, somehow I don't think Morales's take on the fight if he were to describe it, would be anything like you put it Erik of course talking in spanish " Yes it was a very easy fight I just had to stand there, look to counter, and jab him all night" Unless he was fighting a mannequin, which he wasn't. Manny is a busybody who has bombs going off all night. Gotta have your hands up and be willing to engage. It's not an easy feat just ask Marco Antonio "Where is he these days" Barrera along w/ Juan Manuel "Toto " Marquez and hell in fact Erik said during his interview w/ Merchant it wasn't an easy fight.Originally posted by ELPacmanThat's cause he didn't do anything for those early rounds, thus, he starting winning the 2nd half of the fight in many peoples eyes.
