Headlining a card doesnt mean more money. Jessie Vargas got paid 20,000 when he headlined that Showbox card about 6 months ago. And got paid 100,000 when he fought on Mayweathers undercard. So you do the math. The bigger the event the bigger the sponsership money. Chavez/Martinez PPV revenue vs Bailey/Alexander Showbox. Not to mention Team Alexander are kinda still jerking Bailey around. Im not saying Bailey should fight Vargas but at the very least he has to consider other options.

The fight does much bigger business in STL. Bailey is gonna lose and lose badly no matter where the fight is. So he might as well get the biggest check possible. Plus STL is only a couple hours north of me. So the fight needs to be there so I can go for a little or nothing.
