Yeah I knew when he completely stopped throwing in the 11th and he was spitting out a lot of blood it was broken. At the time I thought that was going to cost him a close fight, of course only to find out the judges had that thing scored miserably. I agree Donaire won, and he closed the fight like a champion should, but that doesn't excuse joke judging. I think the backlash we are going to see from the Bradley vs Pac decision is an even more biased lean towards the "name" fighter by judges.

I agree it was in the 11th no matter what they are trying to spin. And IMO that was lucky for Nonito cause up till then i had him only up by one cause of KD.

ortiz jaw was a lot worse than mathebula's. credit to mathebula for being a very tough man.


that being said, it (ortiz jaw,) was not worse than abraham's jawpiece, and he fought on against miranda, an honest to goodness puncher, especially at MW. jose lopez was not hitting ortiz jaw the way miranda was tagging abraham's, but he was hitting it very often


the real issue with ortiz, and i've said this all along, is that he's not a good boxer.

against maidana he couldnt adjust to get out of the way of the right hand. his weight was on his front foot and it was like he was boxing in the mud.

against lopez his right glove was down and he was squared up on a taller guy.

your face is going to get tagged if you fight that way.
