I think is Paulie feels he's gotten better, he should be seeking advancement in his career in a loaded stretch of division (light welter>welter>jr middle)...

Beating a 3 years, inactive, coming off a brutal KO loss, not dedicated anymore Hatton, means nothing for him...

If anything, it would only serve to hurt Hatton ('s confidence) even more and possibly into more depression to come back and lose to a guy you easily beat and who offers nothing

If Hatton was to come back Malignaggi would be a good choice. No real power to hurt him, he would just need to be in good condition to overwhelm him again.

When I read the thread title, I thought it was some one bumping an old article. But I see it's from today. I expect Ricky Hatton to come out and say the rumors were false and that he's happily retired and promoting fights. Although he's still relatively young at 33 years old I think, and still had at least 4-5 more years left in him at the time of the retirement, he's been retired for 3 years. His life style cut his career short, and I don't think he's gonna be more disciplined with his health all of a sudden at 33.

Why would Fatton target a guy he already dominated? Stay retired. Paulie would
Outbox him now. Hatton is finished.
