What a disgrace. His last fight was a 2 rounder 7 months ago. How does a professional fighter not keep himself in decent enough shape to be ready to fight with 6 weeks notice (when he received the request for the fight)? Six weeks is plenty of time to cut, prep, game plan and spar for a guy - if you're in relatively good shape.

Is the Dane ducking the power punching Stevenson?

It makes no sense for Dirrell to say that the conditions have to be right in this case if that means that he will only fight in his garden or whatever. He should have just Said that. He did not, which makes it clear that it was either a PR stunt or stupidity.

Now Dirrell is healing back to the clubcircuit. If he wants to resume his career that is. His (undeserved ) chance at getting back to relevance is gone and the Road back is now longer than ever.
OK so what about Bika then? He did the same thing, started negotiating with Michel and then backed out saying he couldn't be ready in time. Knowing Bika I don't think he lied which means he probably didn't know about the date until the negotiations started.

What you 2 will do for that, What ?
Mikkel Kessler and Sakio Bika also turned down Stevenson. Are they afraid of him too? SMH

Bika did not want to fight in canada, with canadien judges, that is why he pulled out - Dirrel should be in shape period! he was just in Floyds camp for cotto sparring with Badou Jack - dude has been inactive, did not capitalize off the super 6 - split with promoters etc... he is flushing his career down the toilet - sad because he has good skills, but they will not mature because he is not active enough.

Why do YOU think Kessler turned down Stevenson? Because he is afraid?

You don't Think it might have something to dó with him having bigger fish to fry instead of fighting Stevenson in Canada. Hell Kessler can make a million bucks fighting a can in Denmark.

Bad fight for Pavlik but Dirrell-Pavlik makes sense right now if these guys want to stay busy. Dirrell needs to get in the ring.
