Alvarez against Lopez isn't such a bad match up. If Lopez fights with the same intensity as he did against Ortiz we might see another shocker. I definitely don't want to see Alvarez against Mayorga. Most people will be watching Chavez Jr/Martinez anyway so at this point GBP doesn't have many options to compete with that fight.

What? Josesito was 145 for his last fight, he couldn't even make the 147 limit, and now he's fighting a big 154 guy. This isn't about heart or skill, unfortunately this is a mismatch just because of the massive weight difference between Alvarez and Lopez.

Lopez has done absolutely NOTHING at 154, just like Victor Ortiz has done absolutely NOTHING at 154. I thought Lopez put up a good fight against Vargas, but he lost. I take nothing away from Lopez, but beating Ortiz in your first fight at 147 does NOT earn you a title shot at 154.

Why are all the contenders at 154 fighting in 8 different title eliminators for some guy to win at 147 and get an automatic bid??????????
