    lol.. twisted logic is hilarious.

Ortiz was headbutting from the 1st round because it was part of his gameplan. Watch the fight again very carefully and you'll see he does jumping style headbutts throughout the fight. He just did one that was too obvious and the ref finally spotted it. Watch the fight again and just look out for that, anyone with a decent attention-span can see it was part of his gameplan.

And against Maidana, Ortiz was floored multiple times so he was clearly taking damage but even though I can't really excuse that one, it's still more justifiable than Alexander quitting against the feather-fisted Bradley!

Alexander is a worse quitter than Ortiz in my book. What's your take?
i'll admire him if he will be able to scream..

Going by your logic, any fighter that fouls in a fight is trying to quit. So you'd have to call Andre Ward, Bernard Hopkins (headbutts), Floyd Mayweather (elbows) quitters too.

In the case of Anthony Peterson vs Rios, Peterson quit the fight by fouling his way out. But Ortiz obviously had the headbutt as part of the gameplan. He was headbutting from round 1 to try and rough up Floyd and it was under instruction from his coach.
Yeh its true floyd KO'd hime but come on, Floyd was putting a clinic on Ortiz and he looked for a way out with the headbutt, maybe he was looking for a DQ?

Your second para is complete bs AW and hopkins use go in with their head but Ortiz threw a BLATANT headbutt... completely different. And Floyd doesn't elbow, it just happens to be his style when blocking certain punches.
