    Chris Eubank Jr?

Is it me or is this kid going to have a very hard career due to lack of power? He just doesn't seem to hurt anyone. He's got good speed and accuracy, but really needs to work on power, otherwise higher level fighters are just going to walk through him.

Well to me he looks ok in most departments, but his lack of pop is coming across as a huge handicap at the moment.

He doesn't look ****, he has only had 5 fights..

But yeah, he hasn't got knockout power for sure.

He's still got a lot of shots in his locker, great speed and with some work on defence and more fights under his belt, I reckon he will turn into a very good fighter.

Yeah I'm impressed with his skills and would love him to do well as I was a big fan of his father. Its just that it worries me a little when journeyman can walk through his punches as they have been to get their own shots off.

I've just remembered though, wasn't Nathan Cleverly a bit like this early on his career?

Well, Cleverly doesn't really have much power either. I've not been that impressed with him in his last few fights.

The thing is, Eubank Jr at this stage of his career is trying to go to war too much when he doesn't have big power. He would look more impressive winning 6 rounds without taking a shot and boxing instead of brawling.

Some of his body shots in particular do look hurtful punches though but not fight stopping punches. I think he has enough about him to stop good fighters late with an accumulation of punches rather than landing a single knockout blow.

                Totally agree.

Doesn't have that pop and against journeyman guys, that would be a worry.

But another thing I don't like is, he's taking far too many unnecessary shots. He can't allow the top fighters to have those sort of shots.

He's got talent. Definitely there but he needs to start tweaking it and fine-tuning certain areas. He's only had 5 fights, so its hard to judge really.

He seems like he's got good speed, decent enough chin, good combinations and work-rate. Could defo stop some guys with an accumulation of punchers when he fights the longer fights, some of his body punching was top draw.

IMO he needs to work on his head-movement, defense and power. He also might need to reign in his "macho" style at times. He doesn't need to stand and trade (like he has done at times). Become a little bit more patient, a bit smarter.

I do think having his pops there is a disadvantaged at times though. Seems he's too eager to impress and remind people he's his own man/fighter.

Hope he doesn't turn into another Cleverly. By God, we don't need another one of those.

He doesn't look like he has anything special. I think he'll struggle when he faces anyone with a punch, his defence is pretty gash and his power is very meh.

Sons of famous boxers rarely have done well. On the other hand, he might be walking in his father's footsteps.

Chris Eubank didn't score a knockout until his 6th fight, and he turned out to have a respectable punch. Heavyweight Robert Helenius was also quickly gaining a reputation as a feather-fist until his 6th fight.

He will have to find his power soon enough in that case.
