Brook - Jones was a great fight. Brook boxed almost punch perfect for the 1st half of the fight but Jones's constant pressure paid of big time in the 2nd half of the fight.

Both fighters showed huge heart and good chins in various points through-out the fight. Was very close but i had Brook just edging it.
Was a real test for Brook and that fight will do him good in the long run.

Matthews - Rees was a good fight aswell. Not often Matthews isn't in a good fight to be fair.
Derry had his tactics spot on in the first few rounds but i think that cut he suffered disrupted his rhythm, and Rees came on real strong from round 3 onwards.

same score on my part. close fight, i thought brook did enough to edge it and steal some of the later rounds. but i would have been cool with a draw.

Amazing to think Jones was 6/1 to win that fight.

Kell looked good at times using his boxing and moved well to keep Jones out of range. But once the body shots started to come in he really slowed down and the broken nose wouldn't have helped either.

Compare the physiques of either fighter and Jones looks a lot more solid, walked through everything Brook threw at him.

It's a good thing that fight happened when it did. The flaws exposed in Brook's game need to be worked on before he can progress against better fighters.
