Over 28,000 tics sold for Haye/Chicsora, both fighters to earn over $5 million

Over 28,000 tickets already sold for Haye-Chisora clash
    July 4th, 2012
By Sean McDaniel: There may be a lot of boxing fans against the July 14th fight between Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) and David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) from taking place, but apparently there are massive amounts of fans that do want to see this fight judging by the amount of tickets already having been sold.

Over 28,000 tickets have been sold thus far, and the remaining 12,000 could wind up being sold in the next 10 days. That would make a sellout of 40,000 for this fight. For boxing fans who aren’t aware that’s a huge amount of fans coming to see a fight. The only thing I can compare that to is when Manny Pacquiao fought in Texas and, of course, when the Klitschkos fight in Germany. But for a fight that doesn’t involve an actual title being on the line or there being a huge undercard fight, these are excellent numbers. This goes to show you that Frank Warren made the right decision by going ahead and putting the Chisora-Haye fight together despite having the British Boxing Board of Control and the World Boxing Council not in favor of the bout being made.
Chisora has got a real tough task in this fight, because he’s failed in three out of his last four fights. As Haye pointed out, Chisora has been exposed at the local level, the European level and most recently at the world level in losses to Tyson Fury, Robert Helenius and Vitali Klitschko. It doesn’t matter if the Helenius and Vitali fights were competitive; Chisora still lost those fights and that’s not helping him as he comes into the Haye fight licking his wounds from those losses.

Haye also is coming off of a loss to a Klitschko brother having lost his last fight a year ago to IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko last July. Haye wasn’t competitive in that fight, but a big part of his problem was a broken toe on his right foot that prevented Haye from driving off of it when he’d attempt to throw power punches. For this fight against Chisora, Haye is injury free and he won’t have any excuses on July 14th.

they said tht haye will make 3.5million pound which is a little bit over 5million dollars but cant see chisora making tht much considering he made 250,000 euros in his last fight.

Chisora BEAT Helenius rather easily, so it wasn't simply "competitive" it was a flat out robbery. ****** writer.

Haye-Chisora is bigger than any of the Klitschkos fake fights.
