    Donaire overrated and running scared

I was once a big fan of Donaire especially after he beat Vic but it seems he want fight anyone of the same skill level. Rigo is calling him out and his excuse is the fight is boring or Rigo doesnt have enough experience. Rigo is a champion and if he green Donaire then tax that anus and leave him like you left Fernando. I wasnt as impressed by the win over Montiel or Vazquez Jr because Montiel was small and although a good fighter didnt have any advantage in the fight. Against Vazquez Jr I thought he would murder this late bloomer, after all Arce had just demolished this guy. What I saw was a limited fighter who was on the brink of getting defeated and lacked any concept of what defense was. Ive never seen a top fighter with P4P rankings hanging over his head look so bad. Just like Pacquaio movement seems to be effective and his power didnt seem to go up with him from the lower weights. Donaire isnt as great of a fighter like MARQUEZ WHOM ALWAYS SEEMS TO GET SLIGHTED. I have donaire outside of the top ten P4P because he is running and didnt deserve the praise in the first place.

      He has what 10 fights?

If anyone is overrated it is Rigondeaux. I guess that just goes with the territory when you are a solid amateur Cuban boxer.

Donaire is the real deal. He is under TR and you know what TR does with its star fighters. Arum is going to continue to match within the TR stable.

I have similar feelings to the thread starter. I wouldn't say that he's running scared because I think his promoter has a lot to do with it, but I am dissapointed that Donaire doesn't seem interested in facing Nishioka or Rigondeaux, who are the two best guys in the division besides him. If your on the p4p list then you should be beating the best guys in your division and looking good doing it, not shying away from them and coming up with lame excuses to avoid them. I was very dissapointed with his last two performances and I think both of those guys (Nishioka and Rigondeaux) would have a great chance of beating him. Donaire's boxing skills are overrated in my opinion and against Vazquez Jr he was looking amatuerish against a guy who he was expected to destroy, and who had just been destroyed by what is supposed to be a past-prime, washed up shell of his former self in Jorge Arce. Against Narvaez, he also looked terrible. It wasn't a bad fight because Narvaez didn't come to win. He's a technical boxer and he's boxed like that his whole career. It was a bad fight because Donaire didn't go to the body and/or cut off the ring.

I personally don't feel he belongs in the Top 5 of the p4p list, maybe the Top 10 but not the Top 5. and certainly not the Top 3. However I really don't pay any attention to the pound for pound list or Ring Magazine or HBO's commentary any more because there's just very little logic behind any of them. All 3 of them are a joke and the fact that they kept Manny Pacquiao as #1 after the 3rd Marquez fight should tell everyone that.

Im not the biggest Donaire fan but hes not ducking Rigo. They are just at different paths of their carreer. Donaire has been a multiple division champion for some time now and Rigo has 10 fights. I mean come on man I would exspect that kind of hate for Floyd but Nonito? LMAO.

Rigos just trying to get his name out there and hes using Nonito to do that. How many times have we seen boxers do an interview and just start dropping names like nobodies business? Thats all this is.

If anyone here is overrated, it's Rigo, period. But I do think top rank is keeping them apart. I wish I was Donaire I'd beat his a$$ & get it over with real quick like.

and he has subsequently said he would take on Rigo to unify the belts on the radio show I run so that ends that

how could he be small? you do realize Montiel had been at bantamweight during the same time Donaire was at 112lbs right? in fact Montiel had been at bantam since 2008 while Donaire's fight with Montiel was barely his 2nd fight there.
and although a good fighter didnt have any advantage in the fight.
being at bantam longer, having momentum going his direction especially after KOing Hozumi I would say are pretty good advantages

Against Vazquez Jr I thought he would murder this late bloomer, after all Arce had just demolished this guy.
Arce did not demolish WV2. In fact, he dropped Arce hard in round 4.

He's the real deal, I've been critical of him because of the size advantage he's had against these over matched opponents but he's got crazy skills to go with that size. Very entertaining fighter to watch, the only thing that disappointed me was how WV2 was able to out jab him so easily, I'm sure he'll work on using the jab more. Other than that he's the real deal and I can only think of two fighters who could derail him, either Moreno or Rigondeaux.
