These experiences are invaluable to young fighters

Fighters who grow up fighting at ages like this 6,7,8 and 9 and have these deep amateur pedigrees pays off huge later in the pros and I know there are some cases of fighters like Sergio Martinez, Bernard Hopkins, Nate Campbell etc. etc.

The reason I bring this up is because I am seeing a lot of ex American Football players trying to get into Boxing (similar to Seth Mitchell) at 23,24, and 25 im not saying it is impossible but in Boxing you need to gain a lot of experience and really master the craft.

This is where great fighters start.

Totally agree. Boxing really is a craft, a science and an art especially at the top level.

The basic's have got to be learnt from a young age.

Can't disagree. Martinez and B Hop those guys were clearly born to box but as evidenced by their getting better with age...they were clearly still learning. Makes you wonder if they'd have been better starting earlier or if the life they led before boxing contributed as well.

Like you said it's not impossible for someone to start boxing in their 20s. They just have more ground to cover, than someones who's been doing it their whole life. If you start young, you have all the time in the world to learn everything you need to know.
