Well the reality is that if you want to do 400K buys, you need Wright to look good so I hope he beats a credible opponent and looks good doing it next time. He dominated a fairly credible fighter tonight, it just wasnt a feel good fight for Wright

even though i don't give a **** what a *generic* boxing fan thinks, i did wish he got the knockdown on Soliman in the 10th, it would've definately made Winky's win look better. I think any other fighter he would've had down. Soliman's legs would just not go out on him. I know Winky knew Soliman had that kind of style, alot of fighters didn't want to fight Soliman, you could make a case that Soliman had the same trouble getting fights as Winky because of the style, but i agree, it wasn't one of the those "as expected" type of fights, hence all the threads about it.

The fact that Dibella, who promotes a guy who urked out 2 controversial decisions for his last 2 fights, can criticize any other fighter for having a margin of victory which is 10x more obvious than his own fighter's.

I hope this fight happens and watch Winky win and prove all the skeptics wrong.

After Taylor - Hopkins & Winky - Solimon and how Winky was less dominating then expected I might start to shift onto the Taylor bandwagon for this fight. Wright looked frustrated against Solimon and considering Wright is a big, strong middleweight who Hopkins couldn't even drop how will Winky slow Taylor down? Taylor definitely isn't going to take jabs all night like Tito and he punches a lot harder then Solimon and Mosley. This fight (if it happens) will be a lot closer then everyone on here is expecting.

Di Bella is just thinking of money. Gate receipts etc etc. Maybe a sort of HYPING by making that intended match controversial. But sooner or later a Wright/Taylor fight is bound to happen.

The one thing about Taylor is he cant take a jab back. In the few instances where hopkins threw jabs it seemed to discombobulate taylor. He slowly started to come apart. If Hopkins Jab could frustrate taylor, what do you think winky's would do.

But on the other hand. Winky wright has fallen in love with his jab. And that is not neccesarly a good thing. At times it seems that is all he has to offer. Winky has been and always will be a guy who throws arms punches that are never fully commited to doing any damage.

He could be compared to a fencer. Always with the perry, perry, thrust, thrust. Never lunging in unless absolutly neccesary.

Whether it be a fear of his own exposed self, or just fighting a very smart, yet boring fight, he wont risk the loss.

Maybe because he knows that one loss and his rise to the top could be over. In todays day and age, people dont want a the nice guy with a great Jab. They want the guy who excites them with the Huge Left hook.

What it boils down to is what will he do if his jab doesnt work at all. What if taylor developed more lateral movement. Rather then leaving his head and chin exposed, he bobbed and weaved. What would Wrights decision making skills be if this caused him to be losing the fight, does he have the aggression to make a comeback.

                Who Nows?

If wright thinks he can act like he did with shane, with taylor. He will get KO'd. He must fight smarter then that. that being said though winky must learn himself to FIGHT. Not box. He's great at boxing, but he sucks at fighting. And if you watched taylor in the hopkins fight in the first round, he can get free swinging. If taylor made this a war, winky is going down faster then a girl on prom night, because flu or not, winky is not a KO artist. Taylor on the other hand has great power.

I predict a fight where Taylor has trouble at first with the jab on winky. But then by the fourth round, he is the one coming on late this time. Side steppin, coming over the top on winky's jab. And eventually landing the first Huge shot on Wright in years. Not actually KOing him, but definatly flooring him. But in the end it is a UD for taylor 116-112
                .

                  hmm

Dibella is a bull****ter and he will not get away with not having Taylor fight Wrghtin 2006. Winky is number one across the board. There is no excuse for not fighting him. This fight will have to happen or Dibella and Team Taylor loses credibility, unless they decide to move up to 168.

** More lunacy. Abraham is the IBF holder and Soliman the #1 challenger. Sturm is the #1 WBO challenger. Wink might not even be #1 WBA/BC challenger after last night's fight. Rankings change suddenly and often.

Taylor could go on the road right now and make huge money against Abraham in Germany. Or he can stay here and rake in "TV ratings" money against Mora. Winky can wait. No matter how you slice it, the fans saw he was whooped and whining against a much smaller fighter last night and they booed the decision. Maybe he was sick. Maybe he was just plain ol' whooped!

                      1) I don't mean ranking. Wright is number one to the public, and is the man people want to see Taylor fight.

                      2) Winky cannot wait. People want to see the fight, and Winky is the 2nd best middleweight out there.

Winky got whooped? You are a jackass. Only in the lunacy of your mind is that true. You are dismissed.

Since when do drunken crowds score fights?
