Comments Thread For: Hryunov Denies Povetkin-Rahman Reshuffle For July 27

Earlier today rumors were widespread on the web that a proposed fight between WBA heavyweight champion (the regular one) Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KOs) and former undisputed heavyweight king Hasim Rahman (50-7-2, 41 KOs) would fight on July 27 in Moscow, Russia, despite a recent hand injury suffered by the American veteran.

So according to what he said, Povetkin may be fighting someone else.

Nearly any WBA-ranked contender would be better than the faded Rahman.

Hopefully it will be an undefeated up-and-comer like Pulev, Boytsov or Ustinov.

Povetkin needs to man up and fight the real heavyweight king Wladimir klitschko!
Or atleast take on the haye vs chisora winner!

The haye vs chisora winner would be very worthwhile, but with his showing against Huck it's hard to make a case that he has a major chance against Klitchko.

He needs a good win over the likes of the haye vs chisora winner in order to be seen as a real chance once again...
