i'm only speculating, but i think lara wanted to take it easy and go rounds early on/leading into the right, he found out that hernandez was very durable and very strong, and ended up having to fight a harder fight.

hernandez was backing him up to the ropes early on. landed lots of nice shots to the body too. not a good sign.

I don't know how Lara could miss TBH. Hernandez is tough, but he's a walking heavy bag. He's a come forward, zero head movement, straight up and down fighter. It's a lot easier to look great against a guy like Hernandez then someone like Molina.

No chance for Lara if a Canelo fight gets made. Didn't think so before this fight, definetly do not now.

See this is the thing. The right guy won so there is no uproar about it. So this gets swept under the rug and forgiven.

But that judge needs to be suspended.

                    no sunglasses for josesito

                    talk about a boss
what a terrific fight that was. that's getting lost in all of the hubbub and the anti ortiz rhetoric

josesito jumped to WW to fight a brick house puncher and he broke his jaw in a war.

No... Lara's aggressiveness wasn't the problem against Molina. Against Molina's awkward slickness, misplaced aggressiveness will just cause you to miss more and tire in the process.

Molina slipped and ducked Lara's punches on the outside, moved to the inside, then clinched, wrestled, and worked Lara on the inside. He rendered him ineffective on the outside and outworked him on the inside.

Lara hasn't changed much except getting better and more consistent at working the body.
