Junior middleweight contender Freddy Hernandez threw more power shots per round that Erislandy Lara did total punches. Lara hits harder and has faced the much tougher opposition.

Those numbers smell like it. Not underestimating Hernandez tho.

IMO... Lara is out to prove himself and I'd hate to be in his way.
Plus I think Freddy kind of plays into Lara

That's why I said what I said . Should be fun tho, get to watch Lara and Russell Jr on the same card.

Lara is much better defensively then Berto. Actually, IMO Lara is just a better fighter period then Berto. Not to mention, he's a JMW. I'm expecting Hernandez to get blown out similarly to how he got beaten by Berto. Hernandez is a decent fighter, but that's as far as it goes. Hernandez will likely be aggressive from the opening bell, Lara will counter him with his straight left, Hernandez goes down. I'm almost 100% sure that Lara at least drops him in the 1st, if he finishes him off is another ?. But, he likely will. Lara TKO 1.

It's usually a stretch saying a fighter will put someone down in the first but that's not the case with this one. Lara needs to steal the show tonight and we've seen plenty of times what this wave of Cuban fighters can do when they're after blood.

I agree with never predicting such an early KO. I never make those kind of predictions. But, in this case I feel it's very likely given Lara's early firepower, 9 of his 11 KO's have been inside 1 round. Add that up with Hernandez's highly questionable chin, and this being at a higher weight class, equates to disaster for Hernandez. IMO.

I hope Lara can put a good show, but the other guy has two hands too, anything can happen.
