How far will Canelo Alvarez get?and why?

Everybody is saying he's still young and there's alot of room for improvement but do you really think he'll still evolve as a fighter? Do you foresee him leaving the kind of mark Barrera, Morales, and Marquez left in the sport? Discuss

At this point, I really can't tell. I don't know if he's the next Chavez Jr or Bute.

I just can't tell. He's looked good against poor competition, but that's about it.

He'll get pretty far if they keep him on the path he is now. It's not fair to the boy. If they put him in there with the big boys after babying him like this he'll get Bute'd.

I have a feeling he's gonna get pretty far, who knows at this point though.

True that. Not to mention he's already collecting million dollar paychecks without accomplishing anything meaningful. The day he steps in with a talented hungry fighter he could very well lose.

he'll be pound for pound imo. He can honestly clean out 154 aside from mayweather. Everybody complains about his comp. but the kid had a short amateur career... he's now starting to begin his journey @ the world champ level. He wants the big fights. He would've beat Pwill, ortiz and kirkland and still wouldn't get respect. Lara is prob. his biggest comp. other than mayweather, and i think he can beat lara.

The problem with what you think is that GBP don't agree with you, by the names they have been mentioning they are pretty sure Lara will whoop Canelo's a$$, and once you hold a belt you became a target, 21, 20, 19 or 17 like Benitez you have to defend that belt against the best fighters in your own division, age is not an excuse they are plenty of fighters that won a belt at an early age and not only fought the best but unified their divisions, if you can't hang with the big boys get out of the way...
