but how can Roach call someone a jerk when he himself has no spine and says one thing then says another.
First he said Camp was going great and that all those fans watching pacquiao made Pacquiao train even harder because he felt the need to perform for them.
Then he said the Gloves were no issue and they dont make a fighter.
He also said they werent taking Morales lightly and that even though he looked slow in his fight with Barrera they were preparing for the best Morales.
Now that manny lost Roach went back on everything. All of a sudden all those fans at the gym were a distraction.
And that the gloves messed pacquiao up.
And that they took Morales lightly.
How do they expect Morales and his team not to respond to things like that.
good point but i just hate the fact that erik gives so much hype to this. not manny's fault... don't care what roach says, it is manny who's fighting and he is the one busting his heart in the ring to make name and money... roach is a jerk, a good trainer but he talks to much for a trainer... trainer of the year went into his brain a little too much...

this is what i've been saying for the past month... odds are ridiculous... even with the lost of erik to zahir... arum is one big influencial bastard... can even influence the odds... damn...
he said that because they lost.. during the training it didn't seem like a distraction that's why he said that but they lost then obviously it was a distraction.. simple as that.. and if he calls morales a jerk, then he is entitled to call him, thats his opinion.. arent we entitled to our opinion?
it is one thing for fighters to trash talk fellow fighters... but trainers getting into the mix, i think i don't dig that...
i can understand that... but as a trainer, you should not invite distractions to your camp... a lot of banter like that from a trainer can make or break a fighter... 50-50... and with a fight liek this, you don't gamble with a 50-50 chance... he should focus more on what he can do, and not on what he wasn't able to do... he has more interviews than manny now...
back to your point though... i just dont see why he should piss the other camp... if he has his opinion, keep it to himself... not piss the other side...

on the other hand, giving the benefit of the doubt. in boxing there are a lot of mind wars. example. if the problem with their promoter was already been going, they wont say to the media that they were having a problem with their promoter. every words they make must be something that could steer up the fans so that there will be more sold tickets and that they didnt want EM to know MP's prevailing weakness. they may somehow tried to hide that. after the fight must have been the perfect moment for them to bring it all out. so that the fans wont think that MP was a 100% fighter that night. that is why their statement was also important for this rematch because people will still watch the match for the reason that there were a lot of controversies regarding EM's win over MP. to justify the truth whether its EM or MP, there's got to be a rematch. and should MP win this, who knows whether EM's camp wont come up with their own excuses. peace.

good point... nicely said... promoters as well as fighers would not want to ruin the excitement for the fans... on the contrary, it sucks when all the excuses comes out right after the fight... not just for the MP-EM fight but i am talking in general... but excuses/ reasons behind losing are effective in drawing out rematches... that's what they are for...
