                Maidana is fearless and he would take this fight. Golden Boy should match him with Matthysse. If they have him fight Canelo they are throwing him to the wolves and it will hurt Canelo's popularity as well. Have Canelo fight a champion or a top 5 contender, please Oscar. The boxing world is waiting.

                    Latest boxing scene headline quoted Schaefer as saying Canelo's opponent has been selected. It's not Maidana or Lara or Bundrage. That pretty much leaves Trout or unranked Quintana from the fighters Golden Boy has named. I don't like Schaefer much, but he does not lie about stuff like this. So no Canelo vs. Maidana fight. I sure hope Canelo fights Trout.
