Lara to sign with Al Haymon?

Decubas was just being interviewed on the boxing voice radio show. They asked him if it was about time to hire Al Haymon since Lara wasn't going anywhere and Decubas kind of hinted at it by saying someone was going to show up with him in the ring on Saturday but wouldn't say who.

Decubas also said Lara tried getting fights with Golovkin and Daniel Geale.

Decubas made it sound like they personally called every top 154lb fighter on the planet and asked for a match. Forgive me if I don't 100% believe him. Saying "we'll fight anyone" is different from "I got in touch with their teams and they didn't want the fight". Lara, like a lot of contenders, is gonna have to scratch and claw to get their way to the top. They have to fight like every match is a title bout, try to have a spectacular performance every single night. Let's see how he does against Hernandez first, who he should beat....but this seems to be the year of upsets.

It's like a double edged sword bro. If he has super performances he will still be ducked. If he has sucky performances like vs Molina they will look at him as "you can't draw anyone with performances like that" I guess?

Lol That kid, DeCubas, is some piece of work. I would take everything he says with a grain of salt, to say the least.

As for Lara's upcoming fight: it seems like a decent match-up while Erislandy seeks bigger fish. Lara's already been upset once and been robbed once; I'm sure he's had his fill.

          Maan..forget a manager and advisor.

What happened to just calling your own shots and just fighting whoever you can? Bernard Hopkins became middleweight champion and just kept on fighting, defending his title 14 times before finally getting a high profile fight against Felix Trinidad. He beat Trinidad's ass, kept fighting some more until he got an even bigger payday with Oscar De La Hoya.

It's like fighters nowadays bank on one big performance then sit by the phone and wait for one guy to call them. It's disgusting how the top 10 fighters at 154 are all waiting for Canelo to call.

Fuccin call Austin Trout, Gabriel Rosado, Carlos Quintana, K9 Bundrage, Carlos Molina, James Kirkland, Delvin Rodriguez, or whoever since Canelo obviously don't want to fight you. At least one of them will accept. Rosado just called his ass out earlier today.

Lara has been forced into a position where he has to make the most out of every opportunity that comes his way. We know Canelo won't fight him, so **** him. Try to eliminate every other contender standing in his way. He must be desperate to get a win that will launch his career to the next level, but he still has a lot of work to do. Rematch Molina, fight Rosado, fight Trout, fight the winner of K9/Spinks. 154 has plenty of boxers to choose from. Canelo isn't even the clear #1 at the weight-class, so I think Lara just needs to get everything into perspective.

Exactly. If they won't get in the ring with him then Lara just needs to put in work until they have no choice but to fight him.

would not be a Bad Thing, Haymon gets his fighters a lot of money and TV Dates

since when did fans worry about who fighters have as their Manager(s), I don't give a **** about none of that, just as long as fighters like Lara gets the matches he wants and should get

as for who will come to the ring with him it will likely be Sam Watson and his Boys as if they don't represent enough boxers lol , but I already seen them at Lara Media Session on youtube

K9 said something like "I'll only fight you if you get a title so we can unify." Vanes said he'll only fight him if he gets Canelo afterwards. Trout claims his people rejected the Lara fight, but he didn't know about it. Lara tried to fight Angulo when Vanes turned down the fight. Lara said he would want to fight Dzinziruk in that HBO date they promised him. Looks like they already talked with Kirkland, but obviously Kirkland got the better Canelo fight and got injured. I don't know what's going on with Rosado, but that's a recent development and Golden Boy seems to want to keep Lara far away from Canelo even if that means not putting him in the undercard like Rosado was asking. Maybe some other time. God knows what's going on with Molina.
