I hope bailey catches him with that dynamite right and puts him to sleep, but alexander will most likely just outbox him and win a decision.

I agree with you SFG, and I was gonna say the same thing you did previously. The headlines usually say "Team Alexander", which almost always means aka Kevin Cunninham. Seriously, I can't remember the last time I saw an article that read "Devon said...".

That being said though, I'd honestly rather see Alexander vs. Malignaggi, than against Bailey. I think Alexander would probably outbox Bailey pretty easily, Bailey's style is tailor made for Devon. Granted Bailey always has that 'punchers chance', but Jones was green compared to Alexander, and Devon looks to be doing pretty well at WW. Alexander also doesn't have a problem with and is pretty good at tying up his opponent and making him have to reset time and time again. IMO Team Alexander (and a lot of other WWs now) just want to go after Bailey because they think it's an easy belt to get. Bailey's a come forward kind of guy tryna knock yo block off - if you can box/move, tie him up and stay away from Bailey's big pimpin hand , a skilled, experienced boxer should be able to get an easy UD against him. However though, you can never count out a big puncher like Bailey until the final bell rings.

Malignaggi looks to be a good fight because Devon appears to struggle more against other guys with good footwork, who box and move. Paulie doesn't have the kind of power that would deter his opponent, but as we've all seen over the years he can take a hellofa punch and can fight through the pain. A fight between Alexander/Malignaggi would most likely be a pretty technical fight, with both guys exchanging but not likely hurting each other too much. I'd much rather see this fight than watching Bailey chase Alexander around the ring all night, hoping to get that one lucky punch.

Sure Devon can outbox him but Bailey is going to be looking to land his bombs the whole way. I'm actually interested in this fight.

You can get what he is smoking from Mayweather, he's the one that has made statements to that effect. The most skilled boxer in the land says he will pass the baton to Alexander. I think he knows skill when he see's it.

I think Alexander rips him up round by round and then knocks him out in 9 or 10.

I think alot of people are missing something here. Randall Bailey went for years without a championship belt. He finally got it, his punch finally did the job. He won the IBF belt. Or WBA or something. Anyway, My point is, Bailey now has confidence which is something he has not had in many years. I think that this new confidence is going to allow him to work on things to get his punches to the target better, to punch at the same time his opponent punches. Bailey is not "that" slow. Remember he is a natural 140lb fighter too. i am excited for this fight and excited to see bailey go on a little run here after his first belt.
