Ok so he is 33-0 with 18 KOs, though I could have the same record fighting the guys he fouggt. His best win so far is against a Byron Mitchell that had 7 losses going into the bout, 2 of those coming against Erdei's apparent heroes Sven Ottke and Joe Calzaghe. So how good is this guy? Also why is he so content with fighting bums?

Erdei is very good. Yes, also a little bit protected (as all champs who fight out of germany) but he fought good guys like Garay, Ulrich, Lakatos, Sahnoune. he had a very good amateur career also.
He is one of them guys who can give troubles to everybody. Like a Felix Sturm- he is definitely not "the best ever" but guys like Sturm and Erdei are very solid in their skills. Very good defence and if they are at the top of their game its not easy to win many rounds against them. Erdei is definitely skilfull and really good
