yes, i'd love to see this...but kotelnik should take a tune-up fight or two before fighting matthysse just to shake off the cobwebs.

That would be a very interesting fight as Kotelnyk's distance management, defense and counter punching are all very good and they have somewhat similar styles. I'd give Kotelnyk a edge in defense but JMM is a better combination puncher. Would be a good action chessmatch imo.

Definitely, battle of the robbed. Although I agree that Kotelnik needs some tuneups to make sure he still has it.

Kotelnik was a very solid fighter. I hope he can come back and still be at or near his best. Yet another good name at 140 if he can.

Froch is slightly less than Kessler.

Joe would abuse Froch, too fast, too quick on his feet and Froch would get lost. Remember Froch just beat Taylor, and since then?

Froch does not like boxers, he loves brawls like Pascal. He defeated Abraham pretty well but so did Dirrell. He struggle VS Dirrell who was green. He lost to Ward easily. He did beat a Bute whom half felt needed to have faced a big name so that's why it wasn't 100% Bute to win.

Good to have him back - thought he'd quit for good after the Alexander "decision"...

Mattyse, Marquez, Morales, all great matchups, but junior-welter is loaded with great matchups & Kotelnik makes a great addition to the mix.
Any of the names currently looking to make headline status - Garcia, Allakhverdiev, Shafikov, etc. are likely to be looking at Kotelnik as well, so hopefully something comes off there.

In the near future, Mike Alvarado after a warmup bout would be a good test for both guys careers to see who goes through for a big matchup, & likely a very good fight...

sure he would........oh wait he retired instead. unfortunately joe wouldn't even be able to use the "i'm scared of flying" excuse that he used for most of his career. maybe he could use the "i'm scared of driving" excuse to not fight froch?
