According to promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions, he wants to put together a fight between WBA super bantamweight champion Jackie Nava (27-4, 11KOs) against WBC flyweight queen Mariana Juarez (34-5-3, 16KOs) in Mexico City Arena in September. Juarez, who fought a few fights at super bantam in the past, is defending her belt against Shindo Go on July 14. Nava defends against mandatory challenger Lisa Brown on August 18th.

Women's boxing is dead and buried. Too easy to see. No PPV's, no ESPN, no Showtime, no HBO......unless there is a third Ali generation, it isn't coming back to life. The only reason it existed was because of Laila, Christy Martin, and Foreman and Frazier's daughters, and the the playboy bunny who must me a grandmother by now - all fighting at the same time. Put a tombstone up for women's boxing, it's overdue.
