Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Asks Arum To Make Mayweather Showdown

Floyd's gonna have to make a decision next year whether to add Pac in his resume or not. He'll retire in 2014. His legacy will take a beating if he's the only one who didn't have the balls to fight Pac. You can blame Arum all you want but at the end of the day all these arguments will be reduced down to mere sound bites: Floyd ducked Pac. Who's going to have the patience to listen to long-winded explanations if you say fight didn't happen because of Arum? Floyd ducked Pac. That's all the info they'll need, and knew already. Think about it!Comment

Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao wants Floyd Mayweather Jr next but Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has made it clear they can only realistically workg on the possible megabuck fight which the world wants to see, sometime next year.

June 9th was ground zero for "boxing" fans who love Pacquiao. They were forced to choose between blaming Bob Arum for everything or pretending Floyd is ducking the fight. The Pactards got nuked and they're still here. Their closest relative really is the cockroach.Comment

So what do you say to all those fools who said Pac would never fight a Black man? And then they said he would never fight a young, undefeated fighter? What do you have to say to them? You think there aren't a bunch of idiotic Floyd fans too? If you had one ounce of objectivity you would see both sides have held up the fight.Last edited by richardt; 06-27-2012, 09:56 PM.Comment

The only way to make this fight is to have independent financial analysts look at each fighter's exact numbers and make the split exact. It could be 68% to 32% in favor of Mayweather, or 59% to 41%, or 38% to 62%....those are not real numbers but the split should be exactly what each fighter pulls from the variety of sources in their fights. THAT is a fair offer.Comment
I wonder what soured their support for Arum.
