Am I the only one who thinks Floyd-Pac is the only "superfight" that is possible currently? To me a superfight has to encompass the non- or casual fans as well as hardcore boxing fans. And it also has to have worldwide recognition as a must-see event.
To me the only superfights there were in the last two decades were:
De La Hoya - Mayweather
Lewis - Tyson
Tyson - Holyfield
Some of the opponents named for Mayweather are really good fights, but in no way superfights:
May-Martinez - Casual fan doesn't even know who Martinez is
May-Khan - Khan doesn't have a very big American fanbase, lost his last fight
May-Canelo - Canelo isn't big enough yet. Maybe a few years down the line if he stays undefeated but Floyd will probably retire by then.
