Im the biggest guy on NSB who talks about the Southpaw advantage but still, he wont find it easy at all to land on Floyd. Floyd is older & more flat footed now but its still nearly impossible for any righty to hit him clean. Cotto did it because he's an elite fighter with a top notch game plan and is physically very strong.

Floyd would meet him in the center of the ring and beat him at his own game. He would disect him. He would also be stronger than him and more likely to bully him than the other way around. You are severly undestimating Floyd's strength
I think the body shots, landing on shoulder, stomach, arms will have an affect. It still hurts.

Matthyse looks a strong guy physically too

maybe or maybe floyd takes a lot of body shots

yes matthyse is there to be hit but he also hits at the same time

    mad respect for u

LOL,ok..You do know Matthyse only notable win is Soto right??Which means he still has yet to have a notable win at 140lb...
    yes and he has improved

The negative things are his foot work and that he is not that fast. Also i think he is too small for WW, but he has the size for JMM or Pacquiao, though he is way too slow for them IMO.
he is 5 foot 9, he can put the weight on if he does it right

I could see Lucas beating floyd with that power jab and non-stop pressure. Lucas also has a solid chin so IF he can take floyd's punches I can see Lucas walking thru floyds punches and breaking him down to the body. Toss up fight.

People are under estimating body punching.

It hurts. It slows you down. Misses hit arm and shoulder which hurts.

Head hunting floyd is like shooting a running rat with a bb gun

Is his timming as good as cotto?

Hell no he's just relentless that doesn't win you a fight just cause hes got a hard jab and body work doesn't mean he'll win Floyd can counter all those things plus he has all that at 140 no one knows what it'll be like at 147.

Also don't judge Floyd's 154 performance to say matthyse can beat for to reasons tht weights to big for him and cotto is e exalent boxer him self. Now if outta no where matthyse is all the sudden as good as cotto or castillo then you can say this

the sad part is that there are actually ppl who agree with this idiot. mathysse isnt big enough, fast enough nor strong enough to beat floyd at 147. seriously whats wrong with this site as of late. it def went full ******.

It would be a hard fight for Mayweather while it may be a easy fight for Pac, style wise.... just like Jose Luis Castillo

This, once again Matthyse is too slow(of hand and foot)to beat May...He would be beat to the punch and force to reset all night..Matthyse best win at 140lbs,is a fighter moving up from 135lbs..This should tell you all you need to know...

Timing is more relevant in a boxing match to counter, or even to the punch. Yes May is accurate but when you aren't on him.

Cotto isn't particularly fast footed, but got to Floyd. More also Floyd has lost a step and is getting older too I would say. He did say he decided to hangon the ropes, like how Pac eased off Bradley. They are old now, it happens.

Anyway on timining, in a war, a fight that if a man imposes his will and power on you, relentless pressure, timining becomes less important and you own will and resilience comes into play.

May's accuracy went down a lot in his last fight. Why? It's hard to hit someone so close when you are getting hit.
