No, but he actually battered Ortiz' face in less than 4 rounds. Right eye was beginning to swell badly and was almost shut. Mayweather was going to stop him anyway.

Floyd is not feather-fisted. If he plants his feet, he can **** too. Cotto's face said it all and he came in at a career high into that fight.

Ortiz was gassed out at the 9th round. Because of this he was breathing heavily and opening his mouth. If "protect yourself at all times" is the number one rule in boxing I think "keep your mouth closed" is the second.

You can see here Ortiz's mouth wide open, and you better believe it if Floyd didn't knock Ortiz out in the 4th he would have broken his jaw later...
