By Thursday they'll be a announcement that Cotto is going to replace Ortiz.

I do understand the fact that Canelo wants to fight on Mexican Independence Day and all but I guess I wish it could be on the same card as JCC(yeah I know its different promoters). Nonetheless if Canelo does fight on CBS it will really mess up Arum's PPV buys. With the economy as bad as it is and a major superstar fighting on network tv versus a ppv fight for $50 its a no contest. Remember that Affliction and Strikeforce were on CBS and did great numbers. I think Canelo will draw just as much, if not more than a Kimbo.

        Cotto is a stand-up guy.

I doubt that Cotto will get involved in this pissing contest. A swiss banker vs a ***ish lawyer with a mexican-american cross-dresser as ref thats ppv worthy. Boxing is the new wrestling. Canela i heard that mano de piedra Duran is available for sep 15. Also Camacho, Chavez Sr and Leonard. At least Chavez is going against Martinez, but Canela is fighting old boxers and lower weight boxers, but is our fault because we do not stand up to these gangsters, they are using the race card to put us against each other. We should boicot these con artists. 2 ppv what about none of them. what about Canelo vs. Chavez Jr?

I wonder why so many "fans" are asking for PPV's? and frankly what they show is crap, Canelo-Ortiz was going to be an easy night for SC, Kirkland was injured, Williams was fair fight IMO but if it is a mandatory he has to face Lara, and enough with the high risk low reward BS, I want to c what Canelo has and Lara is the one to test his will.

If they put Canelo on live CBS regular TV, that would be sticking it right up Arum's ass. That would be a b*tch move, but I'd be okay with it of course as a fan.

I wish Cotto would come into play, but I doubt he's the big name PPV because he's not returning in September. i still say Golden Boy should just move the date to October for the PPV and fight Cotto or Kirkland. Or just fight Austin Trout on regular Showtime.

Yea sticking your fighter and getting paid pennies by network TV is "sticking it up Arum's ass". Basically anything GBP do with Canelo on Sept 15 will be a train wreck for themselves. THere's no way they're doing to fcuk TR over without fcuking themselves even more in the process

I hope Cotto doesn't take the bait on this one. I don't think Cotto has what it takes anymore to step in a ring with someone as young an hungry as Canelo.

If they're serious about keeping the date then more power to them.

Not sure who it'll be if they fight on CBS but its probably best to get it now before the SEC gets into the middle of conference play going and have complications with the time slot.

On 9/15 its usually teams 2nd and 3rd games so most big games will be on ABC. I'm hoping its cotto, but if not they may want to take this loss and move the date

                      Cotto-Canelo at MSG

Great fight, I'd pull for Cotto to win, he still has the goods and he has the experience
