It's interesting that Showtime never mentions the September 15th date when talking about the Canelo fight.

Body shots limit movement... One sets up the other. Matthysse landed enough to accomplish that and force Soto to trade. Soto did well in the spots when he backed Lucas up with combinations and body shots, but to keep that up, he'd have to be exhaustingly active. Matthysse prEssured behind good D and measured offense until he was able to get Soto where he wanted him.

There aren't many Jr. Welterweights that can beat Matthysse right now.

I could tell after round one that Matthyse's power was WAY TOO MUCH for Soto just by the way he kept falling to the ground when Lucas would push him.

Soto is a hell of a boxer though, great skills. He should have stuck the simple 1-2 and slipped away, he trie to trade which was his downfall, he could have won by outboxing Lucas if he had that kind of mindset.

Ortiz is going to break this guy down just like Lucas did in the first fight...we are going to see 2 of the same fights tonight. Stoppage around the same round, calling it now.

Maybe a few rounds later because he has never been stopped but he has an ego which means he will try to make it a war, not a good idea.
