In the face of adversity Ortiz quit again, the Berto fight is looking more and more like it's the exception rather than the rule when it comes to Ortiz' mental toughness. I understand it's terribly difficult to fight through a broken jaw and the fight with Alvarez was out the window whether he finished the fight or not.

Honestly you can't be mad at him for stopping this fight. A broken jaw is some serious sh-t. If he broke his hand then that is a different story. Ortiz still had 4 more rounds to go and Lopez was landing some good power shots throughout the fight. He would have had a glass jaw if he continued and made the damage even worse to his jaw.
